Parent - School Partnership

Enrollment into St. Paul's Lutheran School is a partnership that involves parents, children, school and church. It requires mutually agreed upon goals and methods. Ultimately, God is the head of this partnership. He is a loving, forgiving, powerful God who has high expectations for all involved in this partnership.

God has given parents or guardians of the child the most responsibility within the partnership. He states in Proverbs: "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it," and in Ephesians, "Bring them (children) up in the training and instruction of the Lord."

The school becomes the training ground to help parents carry out their God-given responsibilities. The school provides a thorough instruction in God's Word which becomes the foundation for all aspects of the student's life. Christian growth and Christian living are emphasized and practiced in the classrooms, on the playground and in all activities.

The church is there to assist families in worship, Bible study, guidance and assistance. The church provides opportunities for spiritual growth and encourages parents to demonstrate Christian leadership.

Children are the center of the partnership. They are to be cared for by home, school and church so that their "Tender hearts are touched by the love of God."
