St. Paul's Preschool & Child Care Program Summary

Our Mission

The children attending our Preschool and Child Care Program will daily hear the truth of God's inspired Word, the Bible. They will also be offered a wide variety of age appropriate activities that will seek to develop the whole child: physically, intellectually, socially, emotionally and especially, spiritually.

All training and instruction will be designed with the intent of "Touching Tender Hearts with the Love of God" so that their faith in Jesus, their Savior, will be strengthened.

Our Program

St. Paul's Preschool and Child Care program recognized that young children learn best through play and "hands-on" experiences. Our curriculum is based on a thematic approach through use of learning centers. Our students will explore and discover appropriate concepts in the areas of science and the senses, math, reading readiness, dramatic play, block play, language and art. In addition to learning centers, large group activities will enhance our weekly themes through Bible stories, games, movement activities and fun.

While the center will not discriminate against anyone because of sex, race, color, etc..., we do reserve the right to teach the Christian values and beliefs as taught by our church and the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.

Our Objectives

  • Daily opportunities to hear and apply God's Word as it is taught in its truth and purity. (Spiritual development)
  • An educational experience in a Christian environment that will provide developmentally appropriate activities in basic language arts, communication skills, science and reading and math readiness. (Intellectual development)
  • Daily opportunities to develop large and small motor skills. (Physical development)
  • Daily opportunities to develop social skills which are based upon Christ-centered, God-pleasing principles of love and concern for each other's safety and well-being. (Social development)
  • An atmosphere in which each child can feel accepted as a redeemed child of God. (Emotional development)
  • Daily opportunities to develop self expression through art, music, and movement. (Creative development)

Who is Eligible?
In order to enroll, children must be 3 or 4 years old by September 1st of that year. Children MUST be potty trained. Extended care is available for children enrolled in our preschool program. After school care is available for children enrolled in St. Paul's School.

Preschool  and Junior Kindergarten Schedule
Preschool and Junior Kindergarten begin promptly at 8:45am. We highly recommend that your child arrives 10-15 minutes before that time. This will give him or her a chance to say goodbye to you and to settle into the classroom before we begin with Jesus Time. Separation can be difficult for some children. It's best to leave quickly after hugs and goodbyes. Sessions end at 11:45am. Your teachers will escort the children to the main hallway for pickup. Please note: Our morning schedules are posted on the Parent Bulletin Boards outside of our classrooms and a sample schedule will be provide in the handbook.
