Mr. Randy Willms
Hi, my name is Randy Willms.  I am the Fifth grade teacher. I am a 1979 graduate of Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary education where my studies focused on science.

My assignment and first call was to serve as Fifth and Sixth grade teacher at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School in Hortonville, Wisconsin.  I served there for five years until I received and accepted the call in 1984 to serve at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and School, Franklin, Wisconsin. I have been privileged to serve in the teaching ministry at St. Paul's since 1984.

I grew up not far from St. Paul’s, in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.  My home congregation is St. John’s Lutheran on S. 27th St. & W. Oakwood Rd.  I attended Lutheran elementary school at Trinity Lutheran in Caledonia, and St. John’s Lutheran, Oak Creek.

My high school years were spent at Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee, which I graduated from in 1975.  It is very special to be able to stay connected with a number of my high school classmates that are members of St. Paul’s or who live in the area.

Shortly after coming to St. Paul’s I met the love of my life, Nancy Rohrer, a life-long member of St. Paul’s, who would become Mrs. Willms.  We were married at St. Paul’s in July, 1989.  She serves as Junior Kindergarten teacher here also.

In my spare time, Nancy and I enjoy working in our yard and garden, occasional golfing, and spending time at my parent’s property in northern Wisconsin.  We also have an energetic dog as a part of our family that help keep us occupied. Both Nancy and I enjoy watching and supporting the Green Bay Packers as well as the Milwaukee Brewers.  Go Pack!  Go Brew Crew!

I really enjoy teaching children at the middle grade level and seeing them grow mentally, emotionally, and most of all, spiritually.  I love being able to share the truths of God’s Word with them in connection with our everyday classes and especially in our Word of God classes each day.  It is a real joy to see the children grow in grace and faith in our Savior, Jesus!
